Dryopteris crassirhizoma Description: Dryopteris crassirhizoma is mainly distributed in the Northeast and North China, such as Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning. It is mainly used for detoxification, hematischesis, the insecticide with a long medicinal history. In Chinese folk, it is applied to anthelmintic products and for the prevention of acute infection.

Pharmacological studies suggest that the main chemical constituents of the Dryopteris crassirhizoma are iso-triphenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, steroids, phenylpropanes and aliphatic compounds, etc. Among which the phloroglu-cides compounds, including Filicic acids, A lbaspidin, D ryocrassin, have insect repellent and anticancer activities.
