Chicory Root extract Description: Inulin extract from Chicory (Chicorium intybus), is a mixture of natural fructose, which is widely distributed in nature. Some fungi and bacteria also contain inulin, but its main source is plant. A lot of plants contain inulin which from 11 families of  the composite family, Campanulaceae and Gentianaceae ect. in dicotyledonous plants, and Liliaceae and Gramineae in monocotyledonous plants. The Helianthus tuberosus and chicory are most suitable as the raw material for the production of inulin, they are rich in source and inulin content was high, accounting for more than 70% of the dry weight of its tuber.
